IPC is a 100% Mexican company, leader in offshore and onshore oil well drilling and completion services. Since 1987, IPC has been a leader in Mexico’s drilling industry thanks to the use of state of the art technology, highly skilled personnel and a vast installed infrastructure.
Currently, IPC operates more than 20 onshore drilling sites of diverse capacities and also offers additional equipment which is available to begin operations.
In June 20th, 2007 Industrial Perforadora de Campeche, S.A. de C.V. (IPC) signed a five-year contract with Pemex Exploración y Producción to charter a semi-submersible drilling rig to operate at a water depth up to 10,000 feet (3,048 meters) underwater. This contract took effect at the end of 2010.
On July 23, 2007 IPC and Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Co, Ltd (DSME) signed a contract for the construction of one GVA 7500 design semisubmersible drilling rig for operation in ultra deep water up to 10,000 feet (3,048 meters). This drilling platform, denominated “Bicentenario”, was delivered in February, 2010 and arrived in Mexico in May, 2011.
In addition, in August, 2008, Grupo R decided to initiate construction of a second semisubmersible drilling rig with identical characteristics to those of the “Bicentenario” rig. This second rig, “La Muralla IV”, is scheduled for delivery in September, 2011.

IPC has more than 49 onshore oil rigs.
IPC has two bases of maritime operations, one in Veracruz, Ver. and the other in the port of Laguna Azul, Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche. Both have offices, warehouse and a dock for passenger boats and supply vessels.
The main bases of onshore operations, situated in Cardenas, Tabasco and in Reynosa and Tampico, Tamaulipas, have covered warehouse areas and machine, welding and paint shops, as well as equipment repair, testing and integration shops and blow out preventer (BOP) shops.
IPC employs Mexican and foreign personnel with the most extensive experience in onshore and offshore drilling on all levels and in all categories, including drilling managers, supervisors, technicians, drillers, stability supervisors, captains, petroleum engineers, mechanical engineers and electricians.
